Piacesi studied at the Urbino Art Institute, under the guidance of Leonardo Castellani, an etching artist; then at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, where he was professor of engraving in the seventies. A very skilled etcher, this activity was for the artist an opportunity to represent modern life in all its dimensions. He has participated in numerous official exhibitions in Italy, France and Poland. Piacesi has produced more than two hundred etchings.
