Vincenzo Montefusco was born in Cava dei Tirreni, studied under Morelli in Naples, and dedicated himself to genre and landscape painting. He worked extensively for private individuals and shopkeepers, and especially for the Goupil house in Paris.  A good watercolourist, he exhibited three paintings in this genre in Milan in 1881.
