Giuliana studied at the art high school and the Brera Academy in Milan and then continued her studies at the Istituto di Arte Grafica in Urbino. A multifaceted artist, she began exhibiting in 1967, alternating painting with drawing, engraving and clay sculpture in her formal research, also dedicating herself to photography, illustration and humorous drawing. In the years from 1968 to 1979, Giuliana Consilvio's pictorial and graphic path began with a social theme with images that synthesize, in their evident expressionism, the contradictions of modern life. Protagonist of numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad including Kyoto, Santa Clara, New York and San Francisco between 95 and 97, Munich and Poitiers in 2001. Her work is documented by critical presentations that appeared in newspapers, specialized magazines and by two monographs: Fumo e stelle cadenti, presentation by Rossana Bossaglia (1983), and Giuliana Consilvio Il segno dipinto text by Franco Solmi (1989).
