Walter Valentini is an Italian artist born in Pergola in 1928. He is a painter, sculptor and etcher. Formed in Rome, where he is a pupil of Consagra, Turcato and Cagli and in Milan where he has Veronesi, Huber and Steiner as masters. Settling in Milan in 1955, the artist works on a large cycles of projects that express his interest in the ideal representation of space and time.He is a master in different techniques such as etching, aquatint, drypoint and multi-color lithography. As an artist, he established himself in the 1980s with a series of abstract works on wood and paper, all characterized by a precise sense of geometry, proportions and rhythm. Astronomy and cosmography are Valentini's most important sources of inspiration.
