Milan 1848 - 1937

Enrico Bartezago was a genre painter active in the last quarter of the 19th century. A pupil of Giuseppe Bertini, he painted scenes of everyday life, preferring childhood. In the last years of the nineteenth century he also dedicated himself to landscape, painting mountain views of the Valsesia. During his artistic career, he received critical acclaim, winning the prestigious Milyus prize. Some of his works are preserved at the Brera.
