Koichi Okada was a Japanese landscape painter who worked with the publisher Unsodo on a series of woodblock prints of Japan during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Born in Tokyo, Okada studied with Ishii Hakutei and Arishima Ikuma. His paintings were exhibited at Teiten and Nitten and he was a member of the art group Issuikai. According to some sources on the Internet, Koichi Okada designed a total of 12 woodblocks of famous views of Japan, all published by Unsodo. However, to date we have only seen seven designs.
