One of the leading Italian graphic artists, Giancarlo Liprandi, after his studies in medicine and courses of painting and stage design at the Brera, devoted himself to graphic design, especially dealing with visual communication. In 1967 he joined the group of graphic artists working for Fonderia Nebiolo and, later, for the Honeywell Information Systems Italy. Iliprandi obtained many awards and accolades for his reflections on typesetting and lettering, to create new typographical characters. Currently, after teaching at the Scuola Superiore di PubblicitĂ , at the ISIA in Urbino and at the IED, Iliprandi is a lecturer at the Faculty of Design at the Politecnico in Milan. A skillful draughtsman, still fully creative, Iliprandi since the nineties has filled several albums of drawings, documentation of his travels.
