Etching, 1896; a fine impression, in black ink, richly and skillfully printed, working on the surface tone with monotypic effects (acquaforte monotipata), on wove white paper. Signed Conconi and numbered pr 28 in the film of ink left in the plate in wiping. With margins, a few unobtrusive traces of creases and other minor faults. Otherwise in good condition. To the platemark 542 x 447 mm, the entire sheet measuring 648 x 494 mm. See M. Bianchi, G. Ginex, Luigi Conconi incisore, Milan, 1994; cat. no. 42. Conconi intended this print to be the frontispiece for a projected edition of his etchings, but the project never materialized.
