Fulvio Bianconi, a studio of Rai Television in 1959

FULVIO BIANCONI (Padua 1915 - Milan 1996) A STUDIO OF RAI TELEVISION IN 1959 (including a sketched portrait of the director Enzo Trapani)
Fountain pen with blu ink and black chalk. Signed and dated F. BIANCONI 1959. With an autograph by Enzo Trapani and another unidentified; 250 x 350 mm.

A graphic artist, a caricaturist and a designer, Bianconi attended the Istituto d'Arte at the Accademia in Venice. During the late Thirties, he worked as a caricaturist, graphic artist and illustrator for various important Italian publishing houses. After World War II he came to Murano to study glass techniques and met Paolo Venini. Bianconi began his collaboration with Venini, as a designer of glass pieces, in 1947. He later worked with other glasshouses. A believer in the creative freedom of the artist, Bianconi worked relentlessly for more than 60 years, designing thousands of book covers, illustrating books, creating thousands of unique glass objects as well as many paintings.
