With the title ‘Caveat Emptor’ Roberta Olson published in Master Drawings, in the summer of 1982 (MD vol. XX, no 2), an interesting article on the activity as a forger of drawings by the Florentine sculptor Egisto Rossi. That article was really stimulating, and helped me understand that the study of forgeries is of real importance for understanding the original works.
